The JBL Control 400 Family represents the next generation of excellence from the most trusted name in loudspeakers. Building on the legacy of the iconic JBL Control 10, Control 20, and Control 40 ceiling speaker families, the Control 400 Standard Coverage Series, Enhanced Coverage Series, and Premium Coverage Series share many core features, including superior sonic performance, unmatched reliability, helpful installation features, and a contemporary design aesthetic.
Naming - Add a "4" - New 400 Series SKUs are easily matched to previous generation models by simply adding the number "4" to the beginning of the previous gen SKU. This system will work for most of the New Control 400 SKUs with matched previous gen models.
Old SKU/New SKU Upgrades - Any orders for a Control 10, 20 or 40 series speaker will automatically be upgraded to the new variation of the SKU. For example, a Control 26C/T order will be entered and processed as a 426C/T.
Grills - Full-face magnetic grilles provide a sleek, refined look to meet the sensibilities of modern architectural design. They are equipped with safety tethers, which mount right into the baffle to ensure peace of mind. Optional black and square accessory grilles are also available to empower added design versatility.
Rule of thumb on grill shapes and colors: ALL Control 400 Series speaker grills are round and white grill by default. Round black or Square white grills are purchased as separate accessory SKUs. Black speaker SKUs do not exist. Only white SPEAKER SKUs and round black or square white GRILL SKUs.
Other Accessories - New Construction brackets, mud-rings, and tile rail accessories are available for the entire line-up.
Design - JBL Distributed System Design Software is updated with 400 Series Models. Individual product pages contain EASE Data and DSP Tuning Recommendations.
